Penis Envy Editor Laurie Lamson interviewed Ricky about why he wrote PENIS ENVY:

Ricky, what made you write this book?

At an early age I got my feelings hurt from a few women.  Well, from one woman.  I kind of look at it as being scarred for life.  What people say can really effect you.  This is in one of my episodes – in the intro.

How did you get the idea to write a whole book about it?

I believed that there was a need for someone to take the hit – to have the balls to admit that he had a small penis problem, or what he perceived as a small penis.  I saw that men needed someone to ‘take one for the team’, and just throw this subject out, so they can vent. I thought it would allow men to let out this pent-up frustration that they’ve been holding for years.  Many of us are insecure and obsessed about our sexual ability and our penis size.

Why do you think so many men are so obsessed about it?

Nowadays women are more outspoken and upfront about their sexuality – with the clothes, the media – with the model looks and the breast implants and all the surgeries that take place… everyone’s trying to improve themselves.  All this plays on a man’s psyche about, ‘Am I good enough’? With a man, the only thing he can really do is make more money or get a bigger penis.  He thinks this would be the end to all his problems.  A bigger penis allows a man to express himself better; it improves his confidence, even with other men.

Why does he need to read this book?

I want to give him practical methods on how to get along with a woman in an intimate relationship and creative ways to satisfy her every desire.

Do you advocate surgery for men with small penises?

No I don’t.  Oh well, only in extreme cases.  Because I see men with bigger penises going through the absolute same problems that all men go through.  And many of them can’t keep a girl either.

Is it because they didn’t take the time to learn some of the sexual tips I read about in your book?

That, and they lack many other of the aspects that it takes to hold a relationship together.
Women think if I just… something – if I just lose weight, my life will be better.  So men think, if my penis was just bigger, life would be better-?  But even with surgery, some of those same problems would still be there.
Surgery is not the end-all answer because you still own the same inner workings that make up your mind.  So even if you did have a bigger penis, you still must work on the other 90 percent of aspects it takes to maintain a healthy relationship. This book is designed to keep you from going to the extreme measures.

So you’re hoping most men would work with the more practical measures first?

Yes.  Because practical measures are do-able.  I’m giving you methods that are do -it-yourself, ‘just add water’ methods.  Things you can do and they actually work.
